Mike,
I am now using TaskTop (Mylyn's big brother), and it has time tracking built in as well. I can't imagine it'll do what FogBugz does with its evidence based scheduling, but for us poor chaps who aren't using FB, the TaskTop time tracking can be a big help in getting a gauge on estimating.

In addition, tonight (April 8) at 6 PM EST, I'll be doing a presentation on eclipse productivity tips and tricks on the cfmeetup, and I'll be demoing Mylyn. If anyone wants to see it, please join us. It'll be recorded and available afterwards, as well.

Here is yet one more bonus for some of us. Mylyn will pull your tasks from most of the leading bug tracking software packages.

I use FogBugz with the Foglyn plugin. Not only does it set up my tasks for me, when I activate a task, FogBugz starts tracking the time I spend on it automatically. It's great for calibrating your personal estimating error. Once you build a trend, not only do you see how far off your first guess is likely to be, Fogbugz will actually begin to compensate for your estimating error. All that, without embarrassing you or giving your boss a stick to hit you with.

Thanks for pointing out the water for the folks who didn't know it was there.

Mylyn is freaking awesome. Saves tons of time, keeps me organized-ish, etc.-- not to mention all the other stuff it ties into (version control, etc.).

Preach on brother! Keep spreading the good word!
